FAQ

Q1: What devices can the Explorer 300 power?

A: The Explorer 300 can charge/power devices that operate at less than 300 watts and the total wattage of all connected devices should also be under 300 watts as well. If the power requirement exceeds this limit, the Explorer 300 will automatically shut off. Please check your device’s specifications before making a purchase.

Q2: How can I know the working time for my device?

A: You can calculate the working time using the formula: Working time = 300Wh*0.85/operating power of your device. For example, if the power consumption of your device is 60W, the estimated working time would be approximately 4.3 hours. Please note that actual power consumption may vary based on different usage scenarios.

Q3: How long does it take to fully charge the Explorer 300 power station?

The Explorer 300 can be fully charged in approximately 4 hours via AC wall outlet. Alternatively, you have two other recharge options: around 4.5 hours from a car port and around 5.5 hours from a Jackery SolarSaga 100W solar panel (sold separately).

Q4: Can the Explorer 300 be charged while in use?

A: Yes, you can use the Explorer 300 to charge devices while it is being recharged at the same time.

I use this as my car travel power station. It powers a compressor cooler/car fridge that draws 35W-55W. Runs the cooler for 24hours in summer temperatures. In the back of the car running the 60L cooler, after 9 hours the Jackery 300 was down to 64%.When we stopped for the night at a hotel, we would plug the Jackery in on the nightstand (thereโ€™s usually only one AC outlet on a lamp) and plug all our phones/ipads and use the AC outlet for C-PAP. Just make sure itโ€™s set to 12h or 24H for C-PAP or you will be gasping in the night as it only draws 35W(AC outlet) and the Jackery will shut off.Charging: Charges fast, usually shows 208W or higher. When charging iPads AND charging the Jackery, the wattage is higher. Usually 250w, so Iโ€™m guessing this is the โ€œpass throughโ€ charging for the devices plugged into the Jackery and the battery charger for the Jackery. If you are traveling, plugging it in at a Starbucks/fast food restaurant for half an hour or so will take you from 25% to 70%.Solar charging is fiddley using the adapters and the in/out USB-C port. 100W panel seems throttled to 45W when charging. I wish it had a proper 8040 plug or Anderson plug for solar input. When solar charging, you lose one of the USB-C ports. Not great, needs more ports. The app works OK to control the AC/DC/light, but you canโ€™t turn the main Jackery Power ON or OFF. You have to physically push the power button on the Jackery, then the app will work.I have a 300W/600W mini Ramen cooker. When set to 300W, it draws 322W (see picture) and the Jackery cuts off after 45 seconds or so. So the 300W inverter doesnโ€™t have any wiggle room, 300W, thatโ€™s it!!The display is bright and easy to read/figure out. I find it to be very useful, decently portable and so farโ€ฆwell built.

This is a great unit. I have tested it to recharge my phone and run a TV/Computer system. Worked great and really simple to use once I found that the plugs have their own on buttons. This could keep my phone charged for a month, and run my TV/Computer for over 3 hours. The small LCD screen is very helpful to tell you how much power is being drawn ( in watts) and how much is left (in % of the 300 Wh total). Easy to charge. A must for a cottage. More reliable than the generator, but obviously not as much power storage. Good for basic electronics in 1 or 2 day power outages (typical cottage events).

With climate change, electricity is increasingly unstable at home, and this battery helps keep our small appliances running. Very happy with this purchase

Well I did use it twice this winter during storms, kept my internet running all night and charged my tablet, quite small not heavy and keeps its charge

This thing is awesome. Iโ€™m tired of messing around with 20,000 mA battery packs. They always charge so slowly and Iโ€™m always running around plugging them in to keep them full (as any battery is useless when itโ€™s drained). Not only does this thing have so much battery capacity in it, it charges so fast from the included wall charger. Got a USB-C charger for a laptop? Plug it in, double it up with the wall charger and charge ever faster.Rapid charging that fast is hard on any battery so I only use this feature if I really needed it quickly. Otherwise I just trickle charge it overnight from a regular USB phone cord.I have two 40 watt solar panels that I have with a cigarette lighter port at one end so I can charge it up solar. The 12 V charger adaptor comes with this thing. It charges decently fast with solar. The inverter is a little bit on the small side but itโ€™ll power most regular things. If youโ€™re thinking about this for an emergency, itโ€™s not going to power a kettle for a fridge or toaster for that matter. Itโ€™ll power a CPAP machine and I found it powers a tiny personal slow cooker that I have.To sum it up, I wholly recommend this thing. If your energy requirements are at a minimum and, youโ€™re using this for recreation and not emergency use, this Jackery will fit the bill. This is a good starter system to get your toes wet in solar power stations.

We live in a rural area and often lose power in heavy rain, snow or wind and it never fails that our phones are under 50%, no power banks are charged or a laptop is about to run out of juice and a school project is due the next day. We purchased this in hopes that we can solve these inconveniences during a power outage, and also use it while camping (fingers crossed). It is pretty lightweight and easy to carry, looks durable and I’ve heard great things about this brand.

Iโ€™ve had this unit for about 2 months. When charging my phone once per day and running a 1 watt fan overnight, the battery lasts about 2 weeks. The solar panel is a very slow charge but it does charge. When plugged into house power, it charges fully in only an hour and a half or so.Would not recommend if you want to run anything requiring 250 watts or more as you will drain the battery quickly. Perfect for charging small electronics like phone, razors, fans, etcโ€ฆ

Clean energy, works great. Contractors using a laptop on the jobsite – Get this and save your equipment. No more fighting with the trades for power.

Perfect for My Photo Booth Business!
I absolutely love this portable battery! As the owner of a Photo Booth business, itโ€™s essential to have reliable power during events, and this battery has been a game changer. I used it to power my Photo Booth for a full four-hour event, and it performed flawlessly. Still had 55%! Itโ€™s incredibly convenient, compact, and easy to carry around. No more worrying about finding an outlet or dealing with cords during events. I highly recommend this portable battery to anyone who needs reliable, on-the-go power. Itโ€™s a must-have for event professionals!

    Solid option for simple uses
The Jackery is a handy and easy to carry power station, perfect for camping or emergencies. It comes with a small, foldable solar panel that lets you recharge it using the sun. Itโ€™s great for charging your phone, laptop, or small gadgets when youโ€™re off the grid. While the solar panel works well, it takes a while to fully recharge the power station if the sun isnโ€™t strong. Overall, it’s a solid, user friendly option for portable power.
